Frequently asked questions

What is a design subscription?

A design subscription gives you ongoing design support through a recurring plan, so you can keep submitting work instead of treating design as a one-off purchase. Lot Designs positions it as design that grows with your business and adapts as your needs change.

Which plan is right for me?

There are currently three plans and each of them have target audiences.

  • The Socials Plan ($750) is great for single person brand, social media personalities or single product companies who are in need for quality and professional looking social media posts and collaterals.
  • The Essentials Plan ($1,750) is perfect for small companies or solo founders who need a steady stream of graphic design (social posts, ads, one-pagers) delivered sequentially. You get one active request at a time.
  • The Professional Plan ($2,800) is built for scaling agencies or businesses with higher volume. You get two active requests at a time (doubling your speed) and access to Advanced Tasks like Web UI/UX and Presentation Design

How long does it take for requests to be completed?

For most standard requests (like social media graphics, banners, or simple print collateral), our average delivery time is 1–2 business days or 2-3 business days depending on the plan. Larger projects like landing pages, pitch decks, or multi-page brochures are broken down into milestones, so you’ll receive daily or bi-daily updates until completion.

Is there really no limit to how many requests I can submit?

That’s correct! You can add as many design requests to your queue as you’d like. We will work through them one by one (or two by two, depending on your plan) every single business day. Once a task is approved, we instantly move on to the next one in your queue.

Is website development included in the subscription?

Yes, but only in the Professional plan. The homepage states that design, content, and website development are part of that plan and that website development is allowed as a task track.

What if I don't like the design?

We iterate. Our subscription includes unlimited revisions. If the first draft isn't perfect, just leave a comment in the chat, and we’ll tweak it until you are 100% satisfied.

How do I request designs?

No more messy email threads. You will access your own Client Portal. You simply click "New Request," fill out a brief form, attach assets, and hit submit. You can track the status of every project in real-time on your dashboard.

Can I hire Lot Designs for a one-off custom project?

Yes. The homepage and FAQ page both state that Lot Designs offers a custom project option for specific work that does not require a subscription.

What does the custom project option include?

The homepage frames custom projects as starting at $1,000 and letting buyers choose two scopes such as packaging, branding, applications, logo design, pitch decks, or website design and development.

Can I use one subscription for more than one brand?

The homepage pricing cards explicitly state One Brand Only for Essentials and Professional, so the subscription is positioned around one brand at a time.

Can I pause my subscription?

Our subscriptions run on a strict 30-day cycle to ensure our team is allocated correctly. We do not currently offer a "pause" feature. If you have a light month, we recommend front-loading your queue with future assets (like templates or evergreen content) to maximize your subscription value.

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the high-touch nature of our work and the reservation of our team's time, we do not offer refunds once the subscription period has started. However, you can cancel your renewal at any time.

Who owns the designs?

You do. Upon payment, you have 100% ownership of all final files and source assets delivered to you.

What file formats do you deliver?

We deliver whatever you need. Typically, this includes high-resolution exports (PNG, JPG, PDF) and the native source files (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma links).

Why should I choose a design subscription rather than hiring a full-time designer?

Choosing a design subscription over hiring a full-time designer offers several benefits. It is often more cost-effective, as you avoid additional expenses such as benefits, taxes, and other overhead costs associated with full-time employees. Design subscriptions provide flexibility, allowing you to scale services up or down based on your needs without the commitment of a full-time hire. Additionally, you gain access to a diverse range of design skills and expertise, ensuring that you have the right talent for various projects.

What if I only have a few design deliverable requests needed in a month?

Even if you have only a few design requests each month, a design subscription can still be beneficial. The flexibility of the service means you can scale your usage up or down based on your needs. You can submit requests as they come up, ensuring you have professional design support available whenever needed. This can be more efficient and cost-effective than hiring a full-time designer or working with freelance designers on an ad-hoc basis.

Why do you use manual payments (GCash/PayPal)?

We prioritize security and flexibility for our global and local clients. By using direct transfers via PayPal, GCash, or Bank Transfer, we avoid third-party processing issues. Once you upload your receipt in the portal, we manually verify and activate your board within 1–2 business hours.

Do you work on weekends?

Our team operates Monday through Friday. We take the weekend to recharge so we can bring fresh creativity to your brand on Monday morning.

Are larger tasks delivered in stages?

Yes. Lot Designs says that larger and more complex tasks are delivered in stages or multiple cycles rather than all at once.

Why do one-off design projects create long-term problems?

The blog argues that one-off work builds inconsistency, design debt, and hidden costs, while an ongoing design model supports continuity and growth.

What is the difference between brand guidelines and a design system?

The blog explains that brand guidelines define who you are, while a design system explains how to execute that identity consistently at scale.

What is the difference between a brand strategy agency and a branding agency?

The blog positions strategy as the work that clarifies who a company is before branding execution turns that into a coherent identity.

Website design agency vs freelance designer: which scales better?

The blog argues that freelancers may look cheaper upfront, but a full-service agency scales better for more complex website work and long-term growth.

How do I choose a UI/UX design company?

The blog says to look beyond visuals and evaluate thought leadership, methodology, and the factors that shape product success.

How do I choose the right branding agency for my industry?

The blog recommends choosing a partner that understands your audience, goals, and market nuances, rather than relying on visuals alone.

Should brand positioning come before logo design?

Yes. The blog states that skipping positioning leads to hollow and inconsistent visuals, while positioning creates the strategic foundation that the logo should express.

What is a design subscription service and is it worth it?

The blog frames a design subscription as ongoing creative access with predictable costs and scalable support, especially useful when one-off projects create inconsistency and design debt.

Can Lot Designs design high-converting ecommerce landing pages?

What does "Active Requests" mean?

This is how many tasks we work on simultaneously.

  • Essentials and Social (1 Active): You submit 10 requests. We work on Request #1. Once approved, we start Request #2.
  • Professional (2 Active): You submit 10 requests. We work on Request #1 AND Request #2 at the same time. This effectively doubles your output speed.

Does the Socials and Essentials Plan include Web Design?

No. Those plans focuses on Social Media, Graphic Design and Branding. If you need Website UI, Landing Pages, or advanced Figma prototypes, you will need the Professional Plan.

What are the design works that you don’t cover?

Our design subscription service covers a wide range of deliverables, including UI/UX design, website development, branding, basic packaging, logo design, brand collaterals, social media and email design, and pitch deck design. However, there are some design tasks that are not covered in the subscription such as 3D modeling, document designs (e.g., medical forms, voting forms), comprehensive print layouts (e.g., full magazines or books layouts), motion graphics, complex packaging, and storefront design. If you have specific needs, we do offer a custom project option wherein we can provide the services mentioned above without the need for a subscription. This is a special feature we offer for those looking for a service that delivers on a specific project only.
